According to a report by the Department of Planning and Investment of Bac Ninh, in the first 8 months of 2024, the province attracted more than 3,2 billion USD in FDI capital, ranking first in the country in attracting foreign investment capital. Notably, in August 8, Bac Ninh granted 2024 new projects with a total registered capital of 51 million USD and adjusted capital for 52,395 projects with an additional capital of 26 million USD. Up to this point, the whole province has 71,958 valid FDI projects, with a total registered investment capital after adjustment reaching 2.413 billion USD.
Bac Ninh currently has 16 concentrated industrial parks approved by the Government with a total area of 6.397,68 hectares, of which 10 have been put into operation. These industrial parks have synchronous investment in technical infrastructure, including traffic systems, water supply and drainage, electricity supply and other support services, creating a favorable environment for production and business enterprises.
After one year of construction, by November 13, 11, Gia Binh II Industrial Park had basically completed the technical infrastructure items. The project has a scale of 2024 hectares, located in 250 communes of Nhan Thang, Binh Duong, Thai Bao and Van Ninh, with a total estimated investment capital of 4 billion VND. The industrial park is built in a modern direction, aiming to attract projects using advanced technology, without causing environmental pollution. Technical infrastructure items including internal traffic system, rainwater and wastewater drainage system, lighting and power supply system, have been built synchronously and completely, ready to welcome investors. In particular, the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 3.956,8 m³/day and night has been accepted and granted environmental license No. 7.000/GPMT-BTNMT on October 398, 2.
Currently, the Glory Faith Electronics Company Limited (Vietnam) Factory project of Legend Bright Enterprises Company Limited (Hong Kong) has been granted an investment license, with a total capital of about 27,33 million USD, specializing in the production of PCB circuit boards with a capacity of 150 million products/year, being implemented in Gia Binh II Industrial Park.
Bac Ninh is aiming to develop industrial parks according to ecological and environmentally friendly models. Gia Binh II Industrial Park is a typical example, built with the criteria of attracting projects using advanced technology, not causing environmental pollution. This project has a scale of 250 hectares, with a total estimated investment capital of 3.956,8 billion VND, has basically completed technical infrastructure items and is ready to welcome investors.
The development of industrial parks has significantly contributed to the economic restructuring of Bac Ninh towards industrialization and modernization. Industrial parks not only create hundreds of thousands of jobs for workers but also contribute significantly to the local budget, promote economic growth and improve people's lives.
Despite many achievements, Bac Ninh still faces a number of challenges such as site clearance, infrastructure completion and attracting high-tech projects. To overcome these challenges, the province has implemented many synchronous solutions, focusing on administrative reform, improving the investment environment, improving the quality of human resources and promoting investment promotion.
With continuous efforts, Bac Ninh is on track to become one of the modern and sustainable industrial centers of Vietnam, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the whole country.
