Attracting the largest investment capital ever, reaching $18,6 billion.
As 2025 drew to a close, Bac Ninh province witnessed a strong recovery and breakthrough in its economy after a period of significant fluctuations. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is estimated at over 522.000 billion VND, an increase of 10,27%, ranking 5th nationwide in terms of growth rate. This is a remarkable double-digit growth rate in the context of a challenging global economy.

Along with economic growth, people's living standards continue to improve significantly. The per capita GRDP reached US$5.852, 1,16 times higher than the national average, reflecting the effectiveness of industrial and service development coupled with sustainable social welfare. The most outstanding highlight of Bac Ninh in 2025 is its industrial sector, with an estimated production scale of over VND 2,4 trillion. In particular, the electronics, computer, and optical products industries continue to play a core role, making the main contribution to GRDP growth, exports, and the national budget. Bac Ninh continues to affirm its position as the "industrial capital" of the North, a crucial link in the global supply chain.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Son – Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province – affirmed that, thanks to an increasingly open and transparent investment environment, Bac Ninh achieved its highest investment attraction results ever last year, with a total domestic and foreign capital of over 13 billion USD, of which FDI exceeded 5 billion USD, placing Bac Ninh third nationwide in attracting FDI.
Alongside attracting investment, import and export activities continue to play a pivotal role. By 2025, the province's import and export turnover is projected to reach approximately US$182 billion, remaining one of the top two localities nationwide and accounting for 20% of the country's total export turnover, with a trade surplus of approximately US$6 billion. This result not only contributes to stabilizing the trade balance but also enhances Bac Ninh's position in the international trade network.
State budget revenue and expenditure management was effective and sustainable. Total budget revenue is estimated at 72.497 billion VND, equivalent to 127% of the projected figure; budget expenditure is estimated at 60.385 billion VND, equivalent to 131,8% of the projected figure, ensuring resources for development investment and social welfare policies.
Beyond economic growth, Bac Ninh continues to steadfastly pursue inclusive development with the spirit of "leaving no one behind." Bac Ninh province is one of the first localities in the country to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing, and is expected to complete 15.929 social housing units in 2025, contributing to addressing housing needs for workers and low-income groups.
Cultural and social sectors continue to receive investment and attention. During the year, Bac Ninh added two more UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage sites: the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son complex of historical and scenic sites, and Kiet Bac, as well as Dong Ho paintings, further affirming the unique cultural values of the Kinh Bac region.
The quality of advanced education continues to be among the top in the country; medical examination and treatment services have been improved, gradually better meeting the healthcare needs of the people.
Despite being affected by US tax policies and suffering approximately 1.480 trillion VND in losses due to Typhoon No. 11, Bac Ninh province remained proactive and flexible in its management, promptly resolving difficulties, maintaining stability, and achieving its core objectives.
Setting a GRDP growth target of 12,5 – 13% for 2026.
Entering 2026, Bac Ninh province aims for even stronger growth. The province has set a target of 12,5-13% GRDP growth, bringing the total GRDP to approximately VND 598.809 billion. The goal is to achieve a GRDP per capita of USD 6.350; the digital economy will account for approximately 41% of GRDP, affirming its pioneering role in digital transformation and data-driven development; and import-export turnover will reach USD 212 billion.
In addition, Bac Ninh province is focusing on accelerating the progress of strategic infrastructure projects such as: Gia Binh International Airport, Ring Road 4, Ring Road 5, Kenh Vang Bridge, and Van Ha Bridge....This creates a ripple effect for socio-economic development and attracts investment.
“Regarding Gia Binh Airport, Bac Ninh province is focusing on land clearance work, and has already surveyed 1.100 hectares and paid compensation and support for approximately 580 hectares,” said Mr. Luong Van Nghiep, Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Department of Finance.

Social welfare policies continue to be prioritized with the goal of completing more than 18.139 social housing units, creating jobs for 1,9 million workers, keeping the unemployment rate at 2%, and the poverty rate according to the new standard below 5%. To realize these goals, Bac Ninh identifies attracting investment and developing the private economy as important driving forces; at the same time, it takes science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as breakthroughs; continues to build synchronous and modern infrastructure and operates a streamlined and efficient two-level government apparatus.
Regarding the cultural sector, Mr. Mai Son – Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province – emphasized that Bac Ninh province pays special attention to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage according to the perspective of "transforming heritage into assets," linking preservation with sustainable tourism development.
