On the afternoon of April 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a factory project manufacturing electronic printed circuit boards (PCB) of Meiko Electronics Group, Japan, in the industrial park on the left bank of Da River. , Hoa Binh City.
This project will produce electronic circuits to develop peripheral devices, computers, home electronics, audio-visual equipment, solar cells, microprocessor chips, and controllers. This is Meiko's fifth PCB manufacturing and assembly factory in Vietnam. The project has an area of 9,2 hectares, total investment capital of 200 million USD (more than 4.600 billion VND) and will increase to 500 million USD when building the second factory in Hoa Binh.
Meiko plans to start production in the second quarter of this year, expected to employ 3.000 workers and contribute 200 billion VND to the budget each year, by 2030, equal to 4% of the budget revenue of the entire Hoa Binh province.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Government and ministries are committed to promoting strategies on transport infrastructure, electricity and water, telecommunications, healthcare, and education to help businesses reduce input costs. logistics, improving investment efficiency. Vietnam also actively trains high-quality human resources to meet the needs of businesses.

Meiko is one of the leading corporations in the production and assembly of complete electronic circuit boards with 5 factories in Japan and 2 factories in China.
In Vietnam, the group invested in 2006 with a factory located in Thach That industrial park. At that time, Meiko was one of the 10 largest foreign direct investment projects and also the largest electronics manufacturing project. To date, the enterprise has 3 factories manufacturing and assembling electronic circuit boards with a total investment of 500 million USD, creating more than 7.000 jobs and contributing about 30 million USD to the budget each year.
