Notably The number of FDI projects continuously ranks first in the Red River Delta region and top in the country, affirming Hai Phong's leading position.
Special, FDI quality in Hai Phong also recorded positive changes, focusing on the processing, manufacturing, and high-tech industries. This shows the city's correct orientation to attract investment, prioritizing the development of green, sustainable industries with high science and technology content.
Impressive results in the first 5 months of 2024: Hai Phong attracts total FDI capital reaching 647 million USD, get a raise 11% compared to the same period last year. Cumulatively until the end of May 5, the total FDI capital in Hai Phong will reach 26,726 billion USD, continued to maintain its position first nationwide.

Hai Phong made its mark with impressive achievements in attracting foreign investment (FDI) in 2023. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, the total FDI capital attracted to the city reached 11 billion USD, 2023 billion USD in 3,5 alone.
The highlight in Hai Phong's FDI attraction is the shift in quality. More than 93% of FDI capital focuses on processing, manufacturing, and high-tech industries. The investment rate in industrial parks (IPs) and economic zones (EZs) is 2,6 times higher than the national average, and the scale of FDI projects is 2,8 times higher.
