In 2024, thanks to the innovation in investment attraction methods, Bac Ninh has attracted many enterprises to carry out large production projects in industrial parks such as the Goertek Electronic Products, Network Equipment and Multimedia Audio Products Manufacturing Factory project with a total investment of 280 million USD; Amkor Technology Vietnam Semiconductor Materials and Equipment Manufacturing, Assembly and Testing Factory project adjusted to increase by 1,07 billion USD, etc. Notably, Bac Ninh has signed a project development cooperation agreement with Samsung Display with an investment capital of up to 1,8 billion USD.
The orientation of developing high-tech industry has brought new vitality to Bac Ninh. In addition to 16 planned industrial parks, Bac Ninh added 5 new industrial parks to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, with an area of about 1.805 hectares. To date, Bac Ninh has licensed 24 industrial park infrastructure projects and more than 2.000 secondary investment projects, generating 80% of the province's industrial production value and about 90% of the province's import and export value, employing nearly 300.000 workers.
To continue attracting quality projects, in 2024, Bac Ninh will proactively innovate methods to bring about efficiency in investment promotion and attraction activities, focusing on promoting foreign affairs activities and cooperation with countries, territories, localities and units.
Specifically, Bac Ninh has established working delegations of provincial leaders to promote investment and seek development cooperation opportunities in many countries: the US, Cuba, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, China, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, etc. At the same time, it has organized receptions and worked with many delegations of foreign countries and enterprises to visit and explore investment cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh. From October 10, Bac Ninh will organize monthly meetings with businessmen with the message "Connecting trust, moving forward with businessmen".
In 2025, Bac Ninh will promote the development of high-tech, green, clean, and environmentally friendly industries; focus on building a green transformation program for industrial parks and industrial clusters; promptly resolve difficulties and problems for businesses and infrastructure investors to soon complete the infrastructure of concentrated industrial parks, etc.
Continue to develop high-tech industries, form a leading electronics center in Vietnam associated with smart technology, accelerate the progress of large industrial projects, have spillover effects to become the main driving force for economic growth of the province and the whole country.
Diversify and promote the development of high-tech manufacturing industries such as semiconductor equipment, information technology, pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, renewable energy equipment, etc. to enhance the position of Bac Ninh industry in the global value chain.
Continue to promote existing advantages and maintain the electronics manufacturing industry as the main driving force for industrial development, focusing on the high-value segment. Diversify into other manufacturing industries where the province has strengths; carry out industrial production activities using green energy and renewable energy. From there, gradually improve the position in the electronics value chain, integrate the value chain with research and development and design activities, because this will be the direct market of the semiconductor industry.
The planning of Bac Ninh province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, has opened up a new development space with the goal that by 2050, Bac Ninh will be among the leading localities in the country in terms of economic scale, a center for high-tech development and smart manufacturing leading in Asia and the world, a green, smart, modern and livable city with a high level of development.
