On the morning of March 11th, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with Thang Long Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Co., Ltd., held the groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build and operate the infrastructure of Thang Long IV Thanh Hoa Industrial Park, phase 1.
The Thang Long IV Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project, Phase 1 (part of the former Western Thanh Hoa City Industrial Park), is invested by Thang Long Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Sumitomo Group, Japan). The project covers an area of 167 hectares and has a total investment of VND 2.917 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 115,8 million.
The decision by Sumitomo Group to establish Thang Long Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Co., Ltd. and invest in the construction and operation of infrastructure for Thang Long IV Thanh Hoa Industrial Park, Phase 1, marks a new development in attracting foreign direct investment and in the industrial park infrastructure sector of Thanh Hoa province.

Mr. Kenta Kawanabe, General Director of Thang Long Industrial Parks, affirmed: “We made the right decision investing in Thanh Hoa. Thanh Hoa possesses abundant, high-quality human resources, a strategic location, and a convenient transportation infrastructure, making it suitable for industrial development. The attention and support from the provincial leadership, departments, local government, and people will further strengthen our confidence in developing Thang Long Thanh Hoa Industrial Park into a model industrial park, attracting high-quality secondary investors.”".
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem requested that Thang Long Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Co., Ltd. and the construction contractor focus maximum financial resources, mobilize manpower and equipment to implement the construction, ensuring the quality of the project, the committed progress, and compliance with Vietnamese laws and regulations. Absolute safety in labor and environmental hygiene must be ensured, and the construction process must not affect the lives, production, and daily activities of the people in the project area.
At the same time, it was affirmed that departments, agencies, wards, and communes, especially the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, will continue to cooperate closely with the investor and construction contractor to resolve or propose solutions promptly to difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process with the highest responsibility to ensure the project is completed on schedule, safely, and with guaranteed quality.
It is understood that, upon completion and operation, the project will attract numerous secondary investment projects in the supporting industries sector, serving industrial production in the province, creating jobs for thousands of workers, and increasing state budget revenue.
