On the morning of November 12, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Viet Phap Steel and Iron Factory No. 11 took place at Lot CN2-3, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong, marking a big step forward in the Vietnamese steel and iron manufacturing industry.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; along with distinguished guests who are generals and officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Representatives of the leadership of Viet Phap Steel Joint Stock Company; the leadership and commander of Hai Long Construction Joint Stock Company and partners of the project.
With a total investment of nearly 45 million USD and an area of 75.000 m², the new factory has a production capacity of up to 350.000 tons of steel products per year, serving the domestic and international markets.
This cooperation continues to strengthen the close and trustworthy relationship between Hai Long Construction and the Investor - Viet Phap Steel and Iron Joint Stock Company. Previously, in 2019, Hai Long Construction successfully assumed the role of general contractor for the construction of Viet Phap Steel and Iron Factory No. 1, and in this important project, the company continued to be selected with high trust from the investor.
In phase 1 of the project, Hai Long Construction will carry out construction on an area of 20.400 m². The factory will apply modern production technology from international partners, ensuring high quality standards and environmental friendliness. The construction process is expected to last within 200 days, with support from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, helping to remove difficulties so that the project can be put into operation soon.
Viet Phap Steel Factory No. 2 is strategically located in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, close to major seaports and national traffic routes. This location not only shortens transportation time but also helps optimize logistics costs, increasing product competitiveness in the international market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tien - Chairman of Taiyo Group - emphasized: “Although the project construction will face many challenges such as rainy season weather conditions, weak ground and a long period of time beyond the Lunar New Year, with 25 years of experience, Hai Long Construction is completely confident that it will complete the project on schedule and with the quality committed to the Investor.”
The Viet Phap Steel Factory No. 2 project not only marks a new development step in the cooperation between Viet Phap Steel Corporation and Hai Long Construction but also opens up the potential for positive contributions to the local and national economy. Hai Long Construction, with careful preparation, modern technology and close support from partners and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, promises to be completed soon, creating new momentum for the Vietnamese steel industry.
