This is the result of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOU) signed on May 16th between the People's Committee of Phu Tho province and Amata Vietnam, witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Prime Minister of Thailand.
At the ceremony, Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, CEO of Amata Group, stated that Amata is a leading industrial city development group in Thailand and worldwide, with 40 subsidiaries and branches.
To date, the Group has 9 integrated industrial-urban projects covering over 10.000 hectares; and more than 1.400 multinational partners and clients. Annually, the Group creates over 300 jobs and contributes $56 billion to the GDP of various countries.
In Vietnam, this is the fifth project to receive investment approval. Amata is committed to leveraging its extensive experience and international network to attract high-quality investors from around the world, particularly in high-tech and environmentally friendly sectors, to the industrial parks it develops in Vietnam, including Phu Tho province.
Ms. Somhatai Panichewa stated: The project is being implemented in Doan Hung and Tay Coc communes with a total area of over 475 hectares and a total investment of over 185 million USD. The group is committed to investing in the comprehensive development of industrial park infrastructure, including factories, offices, docks, service areas, wastewater treatment plants, water supply, electricity supply, and telecommunications…

The investment project for the construction and operation of infrastructure in Doan Hung Industrial Park is oriented towards attracting high-tech and environmentally friendly projects, aiming to create significant added value.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, Tran Duy Dong, informed that Phu Tho has a special geographical location with vital transportation routes, including National Highway 70 and the Phu Tho-Tuyen Quang expressway, ensuring convenient access to the Hanoi-Lao Cai expressway, significantly shortening the time for transporting goods to the Lao Cai-China border gate, Noi Bai International Airport, and seaports.
This logistical advantage is further reinforced by the planned railway line connecting Lao Cai with Hanoi and Hai Phong, positioning the Amata Phu Tho industrial park as a logistics hub for the northern midland and mountainous region.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province expressed his wish for the Group to connect and cooperate closely with the agencies, departments, and localities of the province so that the project can be implemented in the shortest possible time.
Phu Tho province is committed to directing its departments, agencies, and communes – where the project is being implemented – to urgently carry out land clearance and complete other procedures as quickly as possible in 2026 so that the project can soon have commercial land available, attracting investors to come and conduct production and business.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province requested Amata Group to focus on attracting industries and projects that Phu Tho province is interested in, such as: high-tech industries, electricity, electronics, semiconductors; automobiles, motorcycles, and projects with high added value…; at the same time, he affirmed that investors coming to invest in Phu Tho province are citizens of the province and expressed confidence that Amata Group will successfully implement the project and contribute to the overall development of Phu Tho province.
