Provincial People's Committee Quang Ninh The government has just approved the investment plan for a project to build and operate industrial park infrastructure covering nearly 348 hectares in the northeastern area of Van Don Airport, with a total investment of 2.578 billion VND.
The project is by Quang Ngan Industrial Investment and Development Joint Stock Company As the investor, with a 50-year operating term, the project is oriented towards developing as a supporting industrial park model, serving high value-added industries.
Implementation will be carried out in two phases.
According to the plan, the project will be implemented in two phases:
- Phase 1, covering approximately 202,7 hectares, is expected to be completed within 36 months.
- Phase 2, covering over 145 hectares, will be completed in the following 18 months.
The phased investment approach aims to ensure the implementation schedule while also aligning with the industrial park's ability to attract secondary investors.

Orientation towards green and high-tech development.
Local authorities emphasized that the industrial park will prioritize attracting projects such as:
- Application of modern technology
- Environmentally friendly
- Efficient resource utilization
At the same time, projects that consume excessive energy or pose a potential risk of pollution will not be accepted.
This orientation aligns with Quang Ninh's goal of developing a system of industrial parks according to green standards and improving the quality of investment capital flows in the coming period.
Accelerate the development of coastal industrial infrastructure.
Located in the northeastern area of Van Don Airport, within the development space of the Van Don Economic Zone, the project is expected to become a driving force for socio-economic development in the coastal region of the province.
In the context of Quang Ninh continuing to expand its industrial land area and improve infrastructure, adding new industrial zones will contribute to:
- Increase the ability to attract FDI.
- Completing the industrial-service chain
- Creating jobs and promoting regional linkages.
The province has now planned a series of industrial zones with a total area of tens of thousands of hectares, considering them the main driving force for long-term growth.
