The Project of Construction and Business of Infrastructure of Song Cong II Industrial Park - Phase 2 in Thai Nguyen province was approved by the Government in principle for investment from March 7, 3 and was granted an investment registration certificate by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province and the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Thai Nguyen province on March 2024, 19.
This project has a land use scale of 296,24 hectares, located in Ba Xuyen and Tan Quang communes, Song Cong city, Thai Nguyen province. The project is invested by Viglacera Thai Nguyen Joint Stock Company (a subsidiary of Viglacera Corporation) with a total estimated investment capital of VND 3.985,47 billion, of which the investor's capital contribution is VND 597,82 billion, expected to be completed within 36 months from the date the State hands over the land.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Tran Tuan Nghia, Chairman of Viglacera Thai Nguyen, said that this is a multi-industry industrial park, with the criteria of a green growth, sustainable development, and environmental friendliness. In particular, priority is given to developing the electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, supporting industries, new materials, clean energy, renewable energy, smart energy; processing and manufacturing industries.
With a prime location, Song Cong II Industrial Park - Phase 2 can conveniently trade with the Northern economic regions when it is only 40 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport; 50 minutes from Hanoi city center; 10 minutes from Thai Nguyen city; 2 hours 20 minutes from Hai Phong Port. From this industrial park, it is also easy to connect to electronics, semiconductor, and automobile manufacturing centers in Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, etc.
Furthermore, Song Cong II Industrial Park - Phase 2 is also a place to enjoy high-quality human resources, as Thai Nguyen province ranks 3rd in the country in terms of education system with 31 universities, colleges, vocational schools, and continuing education centers. In addition, tax is also exempted for the following types: imported goods for the production of export goods; imported goods for processing, manufacturing processed products for export; imported goods for scientific research, technology development; imported goods for environmental protection; imported goods to create fixed assets of subjects enjoying investment incentives; imported raw materials, supplies, components directly serving the production of information technology products, digital content, software.
Investors are also exempted from import tax on raw materials, supplies and components for a period of 5 years when they are in the list of industries with special investment incentives or in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions according to the provisions of the law on investment, high-tech enterprises and organizations, and science and technology enterprises.
With the above advantages, even before the official commencement of construction, Song Cong II Industrial Park - Phase 2 has received the attention of many domestic and foreign investors. When put into operation, the project will contribute to promoting industrial development, attracting investment in the province and creating jobs for many local workers. Thereby, contributing to Thai Nguyen continuing to maintain its position as the Top province and city attracting the highest FDI in the country.
Regarding the resettlement arrangement for households whose residential land was recovered by the Song Cong II Industrial Park Project - Phase 2, the People's Committee of Song Cong City has made detailed plans for 2 resettlement areas in Ba Xuyen and Tan Quang communes. Of which, the resettlement area in Ba Xuyen commune has a scale of 51,9 hectares, while the resettlement area in Tan Quang commune has a scale of 19,8 hectares.
